COLD BLAST!!
Wow, temps dropped and snow flakes covered the Turtle last night! With wind gusts of up to 50 mph, it was enough to ground the Branson Belle on Table Rock Lake. Let's all start thinking warm thoughts... : )

Ironman Triathlon Comes to Branson and Turtle Creek!
On Sunday, September 19, 2010 the K-Swiss Ironman 70.3 comes to Branson. A one day triathlon will pass in front of Turtle Creek on Hwy 248 as they make their way to the Landing. We encourage our residents, friends and family to use our commercial property in front of Turtle Creek to enjoy the race and cheer them on as they pass by! Most of our staff and owners will be volunteering at several different locations around Branson. We are also proud to lend the use of our Turtle Creek Prowler at the Branson Landing during the event. If you make your way to the Landing, be sure to look for it...we're very proud to be able to represent our community and honored to be asked!
If your interested in volunteering, they are still asking for help. Please follow the link for details http://www.ironmanbranson.com/ or contact Kathleen Bullock at 417-243-2126.
Branson and Turtle Creek are excited to have this event take place right here in the beautiful Ozarks and in our back yard. Please try to get out and see what it's all about!
Take care,
Michael

Summer is fast coming to an end...
Branson and Turtle Creek have had a very warm summer. All good for pool goers and the cool temps in the fitness center have made working out a "good thing"! When it's 100+ for several days in a row, folks don't want to do much more than find a cool place and try to avoid sweating... Mitch, our "master grounds keeper" has been trying hard to keep us looking green and lush but the burning sun has stressed many areas of our landscaping and we're all hoping cooler temps will bring it back. Speaking of the pool, it's our goal at Turtle Creek to always offer our pool to residents for as long as the weather will permit. We opened a couple of weeks before Memorial Day this year and plan to keep it open until the end of September. Keep your fingers crossed that the weather cooperates!
As fall begins to show it's presence in the form of cooler temps and trees begin to turn colors, so too will Turtle Creek. Doris, Deb and Amber are already working on activities for all our residents. These range from classes you can sign up to participate in like scrap-booking or sewing to arts and crafts, where we might all work on fall/Christmas wreaths for our buildings this year! This is going to be an exciting time for all of our residents to get involved (if you choose to) and be a part or your community : )
Look for updates coming soon on what to expect at Turtle Creek!
Take care,
Michael
